What we have built in, what we have checked, and how to tell us when something is still wrong.
Coco and Sabanna is a one-person studio, and this shop is built to aim at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA. We test as we build rather than claiming a certification we haven't earned.
Text you can read
Every piece of text on the shop is checked against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios — 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large headings — measured against the colour actually painted behind it. Type is set at 16px or larger for body copy.
Keyboard navigation
Everything you can do with a mouse can be done with a keyboard. A “Skip to content” link is the first stop on every page, focus outlines are always visible, and the cart panel keeps focus inside it while open and hands focus back when it closes.
Screen readers
Pages use real headings, lists, and landmarks rather than styled text. Every product photo carries a description of the product. Buttons and links say what they do, and the cart announces its contents as they change.
Motion
The scrolling text strip on the homepage has a pause button, and all animation stops automatically if your device is set to reduce motion. Nothing on the site flashes.
Ordering
The ordering flow works by keyboard and screen reader. If any part of it gets in your way, email your order and we will take it from there by hand — that is a normal way to buy from us, not a fallback.
